Swing Inc. by Peggy Hsu
The immensely talented Peggy Hsu is back with a new album, Swing Inc.! Working with Golden Horse Award-nominated score composer Wang Xi Wen, Peggy has crafted a beautiful, musically adventurous album with cinematic flair, fantasy Scenario with carnivals filled with swing dancers and gypsies. The musical style (Swing) and lyrics suggest a retro European romantic fantasy movie set in around 1920’s. A fixture of Art Deco elements, fantasy fairy tales 1920’s retro settings were used to recreate the universe Peggy has created. A single sheet of black cardboard printed with metallic gold ink to reinforce the mysterious glamour of the musical Musical Atmospheres.

許哲佩新專輯，搖擺電力公司！Peggy，她信仰童話，她輕輕一揮魔杖，飄揚出一場如似奇幻電影場景、想像力放逐、滿場飛舞著搖擺舞者與吉普賽人嘉年華的冒險音樂信念之旅。搖擺的音樂風格和歌詞穿越現代直奔 1920，那是一個美好的年代，集復古、歐式、浪漫、夢幻地奇幻所在，Peggy 勇闖並實現對自身音樂的想像。
之於這樣課題，設計的我們需要面對與完成什麼呢?不就是應該真誠地如實將她音樂中的世界與信仰準確地視覺化，揉合成為一個整體。自視覺中的「午夜巴黎」到聽覺中的「搖擺電力公司」，Art Deco 風格永遠是此類音樂 (Swing) 與美感的最佳切入點，何不用這美感與風格來重建 Peggy 創造的宇宙。
在不反射光線的黑色紙張上，印上金色油墨，逐頁翻閱著，猶如徹夜漫步在午夜的1920巴黎街頭，幽暗的街道上，月光靄靄，但你深知這年代、這音樂是如何美好，雖在午夜卻恍如在烈日下的金光閃耀、迷人而令人難以遺忘。封面一紙黑卡燙金，歌頌著美好與希望，慢 速 重 回 迷幻華麗年代，童話不死一直都在，如果你相信；音樂如此，設計也如此。
